Your cancer team
At HCA hospitals you will be seen and cared for by what is known as a multi-discipline team (MDT). This is a team made up of various professionals who are recognised specialists within their field and who will work together to discuss your case and determine how best to manage your treatment and care.
This team will be dedicated to you throughout your treatment and you will see them regularly. They can include specialist cancer doctors, surgeons, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dieticians and any other health professionals or specialists.
These multi-disciplinary teams have many years of experience and are there to ensure that you are receiving not only the very best care during your treatment, but their personal time, attention and complete support for you and your family, which will continue throughout your aftercare.
