CT SCAN
CT (Computer Tomography) is one of the most frequently used modalities for detecting and staging cancer. Most consultants will request a patient have a CT scan prior, during and after any treatment to monitor the efficacy.
After treatment has finished, oncologists usually request the patient has follow-up CT scans on a 6 monthly basis to ensure no disease recurrence.
